2. Scope and legal basis
This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website, contact us or use our services. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we also comply with its requirements.
3. Server logs and hosting
When the website is accessed, the IP address, date and time, requested address, data volume, referring page, browser, operating system, device type, status code and technical security information may be recorded. Processing serves to provide a stable and secure website and to detect errors and misuse. Where the GDPR applies, it is based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Server logs are retained only for as long as required for operation and security. Longer retention may be necessary following a security incident or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
4. Contact and contract data
If you contact us by email, telephone, form or another channel, we process your contact details, the content and time of the request, correspondence and information voluntarily provided. This is done to answer your request and, where relevant, to take steps before entering into or to perform a contract. Where the GDPR applies, Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR forms the relevant basis.
For coaching, consulting, workshops or other engagements, we may also process company, appointment, service, invoice and payment data. Business and accounting documents are generally retained for ten years in accordance with statutory obligations.
5. Appointment scheduling
Our website links to an appointment platform at cloud.rothmedia.de. A connection is established only after you select the link. Technical access data and information entered for the appointment may then be processed to organize, prepare and conduct the conversation.
6. Audience measurement with Matomo
We use the open-source software Matomo on our own analytics infrastructure at analytics.rothmedia.net. The pages visited, time and approximate duration, referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution, approximate region and link interactions may be processed.
Matomo is configured for audience measurement without analytics or marketing cookies. IP addresses are shortened or anonymized before permanent storage. The data is used solely for statistics and improvement of our website and is not combined with third-party advertising profiles. Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on our legitimate interest in privacy-conscious audience measurement under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7. Cookies and local storage
Our website does not use analytics or marketing cookies while Matomo is operated as described and no additional services are enabled. Strictly necessary cookies or comparable storage may be used for security, language selection, presentation or a function explicitly requested by the user. If non-essential cookies or marketing technologies are introduced, they will generally be activated only after the relevant choice or consent and this policy will be updated.
8. External links and third-party content
A connection to an external website or social network is generally made only after you select the relevant link. The external provider then processes data under its own responsibility. We currently do not use social plugins, external videos or maps that automatically transmit data to third parties when a page loads. Web fonts are served locally.
9. Testimonials and references
Names, roles, testimonials, photographs, company names and logos are published only with appropriate authorization or consent. Consent may be withdrawn for the future unless contractual or overriding legal interests apply.
10. Recipients and international transfers
We may use providers for hosting, technical support, email, communication, appointments, accounting, backups and IT security. They receive only the data required for their task and are contractually bound where necessary. Where data is processed in a country without recognized adequate protection, appropriate safeguards such as approved standard contractual clauses and supplementary measures are used where required.
11. Security and retention
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including TLS encryption, access controls, system updates and backups. Personal data is retained only for as long as required for its purpose, statutory duties or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
12. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, disclosure or portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent for the future. Contact hallo@csroth.com. We may request further information to verify your identity.
You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland. Where the GDPR applies, you may lodge a complaint with a competent EU/EEA supervisory authority.
13. Changes
We may amend this policy to reflect changes in processing, services or legal requirements. The version published on this website applies.
